Home From Home Chelsea

Our Food

All meals are carefully cooked and prepared on the premises ensuring that all children’s dietary and nutritional needs are met, are balanced and healthy. We buy organic food where possible. We encourage children to enjoy a variety of foods from around the world, ensuring a healthy diet with lots of fruit and vegetables.

If your child has any specific dietary needs or allergies, parents are required to inform Home from Home in writing on registration. We prepare milk and age appropriate foods for babies.

Our Clothes

We recommend that children wear clothing which is suitable for an active child’s day and the weather. On joining we will provide your child with a smock. We would appreciate it if all clothing can be named in order to avoid any confusion particularly jackets, hats and scarves.

A change of clothes must be brought in the child’s bag each day. Parents are required to provide their own child’s nappies, and creams, we provide wipes.

The Daily Diary

We maintain a close relationship with you through an online nursery management system which you can log onto from your phone, and see what your child has been doing with us. This includes information on the activities your child has participated in and enjoyed that day, sleep routines, meals/milk feeds, nappy changes and any other information that may be relevant. It is linked with the EYFS so your child’s development is monitored daily.

We also send a weekly topic sheet out via Famly, outlining some of the activities planned for the week. Children also have a scrap books with photo’s and their art work which is completed by the child’s key worker.

Settling In

One settling visit will be organised before your child starts formally.

We advise that a parent or carer should never leave the child without saying ‘goodbye’.
